Melika Razi directed this work and Hassan Bastani wrote the script.

Sirous Asnaghi, Solmaz Hesari and Mana Abtahi read the work.

“Iran” is a epic tale which shows a warrior who is wounded and separated from the troops and is being protected by a woman who has lost her children in the war.

At the end of the second night’s performance, as usual, the work was criticized and studied by another criticizer and director, Babak Mohammadi, with the presence of Davood Bani Ardalan the theater expert, Melika Razi the director of this work and interesteds joined this program.

Babak Mohammadi pointed out that play reading is not a sited play or narrating or radio play and there are differences between a play reading and them. He said we can consider a play reading a one step away from actually performing the play.

Saturday and Sunday January 2 and 3 “Parvaz” play reading written and directed by Nima Dehghani will be read on stage of Goosheh hall at 7:30 pm.

“Play Reading in terms of Narration”

H. Haeri, congratulating Niavaran Cultural Center for performing such sessions of play readings on the tales of Shahnameh & Masnavi, stated that this tale was posed and framed in a feminine form which was a very charming point about this performance.

Narrative: The heroic battle of Imam Hussein would have been buried in Karbala if it had not been for Zaynab. The family of Imam Hussein was sent to Shaam and they were called outsiders. They took them to Yazid’s court and accommodated them in the ruins behind the palace.

Yazid ordered Imam Zain-ol-Abedin, the only remaining male from Karbala massacre, to be killed. But the voice of a woman echoed in space; a voice as resonant as that of Imam Ali and as courageous as that of Imam Hussein. The voice said, “Do you reckoned that you have killed Hussein?”

In those days, nobody understood who Zaynab was and there was no one to sympathize with Imam Hussein’s family except a truthful man who had come from far-off lands. He saw the secrets, he saw the heads, he saw Yazidi’s laughter, and Husseini’s weeping. He chose Islam and martyrdom as his last resort in the posthumous world.

Narrative: A combination of character, determination, decent pedigree, good nature, and magnificence, found in his family, Ali Akbar goes to the battlefield. The young, handsome son of Hussein, who finds his lonely father among the enemy forces, took it upon himself to make a sacrifice and to become the first martyr of Karbala.

My aunts, my sisters, my family, see you all in the judgment day!

He faced the enemy alone. Who is this young man who resembles Mohammad (PBUH), is as strong as Ali, as dignified as Fatima, as generous as Hassan, and as brave as Hussein?

They said, “Who is this inexperienced, young man?”

Damascene Arzaq and his four sons went to the battlefield one by one and were killed by this brave young man.
